Suriya’s Karuppu is hitting the big screens tomorrow, but the buzz is clearly not up to the mark. Directed by RJ Balaji, the film is witnessing below-par advances even in Tamil Nadu, and the situation is even more disappointing in the Telugu states.
The Telugu version is releasing under the title Veera Bhadrudu. However, there is very little awareness among audiences about the film, and the major reason behind it is the lacklustre promotional campaign.
Apart from a pre-release event, the team hardly carried out any promotions, resulting in low visibility. Tollywood is currently going through a dull phase with no notable releases, but Veera Bhadrudu failed to utilize this golden opportunity.
The film’s genre and subject have the potential to attract mass audiences, but so far, the movie hasn’t generated the desired level of interest among moviegoers. Now, it all boils down to the content and word of mouth for the film to leave an impact at the Telugu states’ box office. Trisha plays the female lead.
