Ram Pothineni was last seen in Skanda, which was the most hyped project in his career. Directed by mass films specialist Boyapati Sreenu, the film didn’t perform on the expected lines in theatres. Sreeleela played the female lead. The movie was criticised for its over-the-top sequences.

Skanda recently had its world television premiere on Star Maa. The latest news is that this Ram Pothineni starrer garnered a solid 8.11 TRP. The point that needs to be noted here is Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari also had its television premiere on the same day and at the same time. Yet Skanda managed to attract the small screen audience, which is a superb feat.

Major fame Saiee Manjrekar essayed another important role. SS Thaman composed the tunes. Srinivasaa Chitturi bankrolled this mass action drama under the banner of Srinivasaa Silver Screen. The film also featured Srikanth, Prince, Sharath Lohitashwa, Indraja, Ajay Purkar, Daggubati Raja, Kalakeya Prabhakar, and Babloo Prithveeraj in crucial roles.
