Ramayana: Rise of a Legend had its world premiere in Los Angeles today. The David Geffen Theatre at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures was packed, and the core team was also present.
The English-dubbed 3D version was screened at the venue. Many viewers said it was shorter than the original Hindi version, with a runtime difference of around 25 minutes. The Hindi version runs for over three hours, while the English version is reportedly shorter.
The makers might have removed some songs from the English version, which could be the reason for the difference. An official clarification is awaited.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the Indian epic is produced by Namit Malhotra and Yash. Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi play the lead roles. AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer composed the music. The film is set to release on November 5, 2026.
