Hero Sai Dharam Tej’s much-talked-about supernatural thriller, Virupaksha, is gearing up for its theatrical release worldwide on April 21. Also starring Samyuktha Menon as the leading lady, the period film is set in the 80s and 90s era, and it has elements of black magic as its backdrop.
In a recent interview while promoting the movie, Sai Dharam Tej urged his fans and movie lovers to not compare Virupaksha with the blockbuster Kannada film, Kantara. “Please do not compare Virupaksha with Kantara. It’s a cult movie. Both the movies are quite different from each other,” said the Mega hero.
Incidentally, like Kantara, even Virupaksha has supernatural and fantasy elements. Also, popular Kannada music composer Ajaneesh Loknath is the man behind the soundtracks of both the movies. Directed by Karthik Varma Dandu, Virupaksha has been jointly produced by Sukumar and BVSN Prasad.
