Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director of Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh, and Animal, graced the pre-release event of Thandel yesterday. During his speech, he shared an interesting anecdote.
He revealed that he wanted to cast Sai Pallavi in Arjun Reddy and approached a casting manager. However, he later realised that the manager was fake. During their conversation, Sandeep mentioned that her character required a higher level of intimacy than usual. In response, the casting manager told him that Sai Pallavi wouldn’t even wear a sleeveless dress.
Speaking about this, Sandeep Reddy Vanga praised Sai Pallavi, saying that in an era where many actresses change their dressing style and appearance to fit industry trends, she has always stayed true to herself. He appreciated her for being exactly who she was.
Thandel features Naga Chaitanya in the lead role, with Sai Pallavi as his romantic interest. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film is set to release on February 7, 2025, in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil. Expectations are high, and it remains to be seen whether the film will live up to them.
