Sivakarthikeyan’s latest outing Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara, is turning out to be a massive failure. The film initially faced censor hurdles, but the obstacles were cleared at the last minute, ensuring a smooth release. Also, the movie had no major competition due to the postponement of Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan.

However, Parasakthi received negative reviews and failed to make proper use of the festival season. Now that the holidays are over, the film has completely crashed at the Tamil Nadu box office. As per trade reports, the movie has earned around Rs. 52 crores gross so far in the state.

The breakeven target is said to be around Rs. 75 crores, and the distributors are now staring at huge losses. The makers have not released the Telugu dubbed version, and it remains to be seen whether the Telugu version will ever make it to theatres. Sreeleela played the female lead. Ravi Mohan essayed the role of antagonist.
