Shankar’s youthful college drama Snehithudu, which has Vijay, Ileana, Jiva and Sriram in the lead roles, has received a good response from A centers and some parts of B centers. The movie is the Telugu dubbed version of Nanbaan, which itself is a remake of the Hindi blockbuster ‘3 Idiots’. The familiarity of Ileana, Jiva and Sriram to the Telugu audience, as well as Sunil’s dubbing for a comedy role, is proving to be an advantage.
College students and families in cities like Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada are embracing the movie for its good humour and solid sentiment. Producer Dil Raju bought the movie’s distribution rights for Andhra Pradesh. Harris Jayaraj has scored the music and Abburi Ravi has penned the Telugu dialogues.
