2018, the new industry hit of the Malayalam film industry, is based on the Kerala floods that occurred in the year 2018. The film was a rage in Malayalam, and its emotional content moved the audience to tears. Tovino Thomas, Indrans, Kunchacko Boban, Aparna Balamurali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Asif Ali, Lal, Narain, Tanvi Ram, Sshivada, Kalaiyarasan, Aju Varghese, Siddique, and Joy Mathew, Sudheesh played vital roles.
Bunny Vas released the film in the Telugu states. The film’s Telugu version also performed well in theatres, grossing nearly 10 crores. Recently, the Telugu version had its world television premiere on Star Maa channel. The latest update is that 2018 got a decent TRP of 3.29 on its first telecast.
The movie is currently streaming on the Sony LIV platform in multiple languages. Venu Kunnappilly, C.K. Padma Kumar, and Anto Joseph produced this survival thriller under the banners of Kavya Film Company and P.K. Prime Productions.
