Popular actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu is currently working on her upcoming projects, Citadel and Kushi. However, her recent release, Shaakuntalam, which was directed by Gunasekhar, did not perform well at the box office.
According to the latest buzz, Shaakuntalam is set to debut on Amazon Prime Video on May 12, 2023. However, an official statement from the streaming service is yet to be released.
Shaakuntalam marks the acting debut of Allu Arjun’s daughter, Arha Arjun. The movie also features Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Aditi Balan, Gauthami, Ananya Nagalla, Allu Arha, and Kabir Duhan Singh in significant roles. Neelima Guna produced the film, which features music by Manisharma.
