After teasing fans for the last few days, Dhanush has announced his new film, Thamizh Murugan, based on Lord Murugan. Dhanush has reunited with Vetrimaaran for this epic after delivering multiple blockbusters together.
Recently, NTR and Trivikram also announced a film on Lord Murugan (Lord Subramanya Swamy), and the announcement triggered Tamil fans, who argued that Lord Murugan belongs to Tamil Nadu and expressed objections to the project.
Now, Dhanush announcing a film on the same deity has indeed grabbed eyeballs. Though both films will be presented differently, as suggested by their announcement themes, the debates have already begun on social media.
Sai Abhyankkar will compose the music for Thamizh Murugan. Dhanush will bankroll the movie under his Wunderbar Films banner, while Arivumathi will serve as the film’s writer.
