One of the most awaited movies releasing this Sankranthi is The Raja Saab. Directed by Maruthi and headlined by Prabhas, the horror-comedy has generated good buzz through its promotional content.
While fans are awaiting the release, the film’s producer, TG Vishwa Prasad, made comments on the movie’s OTT deal. He said that the deal has been closed, but what made his comments go viral was his honesty in admitting that the film fetched less than expected. Explaining the reason, Vishwa Prasad said this is how the OTT market is currently functioning.
Though the OTT deal brought in less money than expected, the team is confident about the film’s box office prospects. Releasing during Sankranthi is an added advantage and is expected to help the film gain higher theatrical collections. On the promotions front, the makers are expected to host a pre-release event on December 27, 2025.
The film stars Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Boman Irani, Sanjay Dutt, and others in pivotal roles. The film is produced by People Media Factory, while music is composed by Thaman. The pan-Indian film is all set for a January 9 release across multiple languages.
