This EID season, tremendous performer and star actor Ajay Devgn is set to take the audience on an emotional ride with the film Maidaan. Just a while ago, the makers confirmed that the film will arrive in theatres on 10th April. The movie is a biopic of renowned football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, the man who revolutionized the sport in India. Badhaai Ho fame Amit Sharma is the director.
Keerthy Suresh was supposed to play Ajay Devgn’s wife in the film, but later, she was replaced by Priyamani. In a recent interview, director Amit Sharma revealed the reason behind the replacement. Amit Sharma said, “Regarding Abdul Rahimi’s wife role, I had a certain look in my mind and wanted the female lead to appear that way. But Keerthy lost more weight during that time, and that’s why she was replaced.”
The movie also stars Gajraj Rao and Rudranil Ghosh in crucial roles. Boney Kapoor, in collaboration with ZEE Studios, produced this biographical film. Oscar-winning AR Rahman composed the tunes.
