Famous director Karthik Subbaraj’s latest outing, Jigarthanda Double X, is now out in theatres. The film stars Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah in the lead roles. Despite the slow start and clash with Karthi’s Japan, the Tamil version is doing very good business at the box office.
Telugu director Bobby is completely in awe of this period action drama. Bobby tweeted, “Watched Jigarthanda Double X last night. It’s an incredible film. Lawrence Master and SJ Surya Garu nailed it. Kudos to Karthik Subbaraj’s masterful craftsmanship and DOP Thiru’s unbelievable camera work.”
Produced by Kaarthekeyan Santhanam and S Kathiresan under the banner of Stone Bench Films, the film also has Naveen Chandra and Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko in vital roles. Santosh Narayanan composed the tunes. Jigarthanda Double X is about how cinema transformed a gangster to stand for his fellow beings.
