The Deverakonda Foundation has emerged as one of the more impactful celebrity led initiatives in Telugu cinema. Best known for its widely appreciated Middle Class Fund during the Covid 19 pandemic, the foundation has since expanded its focus to education, employment and community welfare.
Earlier this year, Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna announced an educational initiative to reward academic excellence among students from government schools in Achampet Mandal, Telangana. The effort is aimed at encouraging young achievers and creating opportunities for students from underserved communities.
The initiative has now reached its first major milestone. Sharing an update on social media, Vijay revealed that he and Rashmika were travelling to Thummanpet, his father’s native village, to celebrate the achievements of the students. A total of 180 Class 9 and 10 students have been selected for rewards, with the announcement drawing praise from fans and supporters.
On the work front, Vijay is preparing for the release of Ranabaali, while Rashmika continues to juggle several high profile projects across industries. As their careers continue to soar, their latest educational initiative has further strengthened the goodwill they enjoy beyond the silver screen.
