The trailers of Kashmora have created a huge buzz all over. On the occasion of the film’s release, we caught up with star hero Karthi for a detailed interview. Here is the transcript.

Q) What is Kashmora all about ?

The film is a fantasy thriller which has a unique story line. The way the past and present have been amalgamated through a fantasy subject is the major highlight of the film.

Q) Tell us about your character ?

I will be seen in two different roles in the film. I play a character called Kashmora in the current scenario and as Raj Naik in the flashback. The story has a unique connection to 500 years and how it is blended with my roles is the whole film all about.

Q) Your preparation for the film ?

I put my heart and soul for this film. I shaved my head and lived as Raj naik for nearly a month. I will be seen in various costumes throughout the film which was quite tough. But the real test for me was when I shot for my role as Kashmora. It was completely different and I had to put extra effort to even dub for that character.

Q) Tell us about the graphics of the film ?

You will see some extensive graphics for about 45 minutes in the film. PVP have spent huge amounts for the film and the technicians who worked for Baahubali have also contributed to this film.

Q) Comparisons with Baahubali ?

I sincerely request everyone not to compare this film with Baahubali. In fact, when we were shooting, Baahubali released and we stopped our filming for over two months. We clearly observed Baahubali and re-thought what we could do best in our limits for Kashmora.

Q) Production values ?

The entire film was shot in Chennai and some huge sets were laid out on the outskirts of the city. The entire credit should go to PVP for giving us whatever we wanted.

Q) About Nayanthara’s role ?

She plays the role of a Princes. Initially, she was not curious but after she heard her role, she okayed the film. She has a very good role in the film.

Q) Release plans ?

This is my biggest release in both Tamil and Telugu. In AP and Telangana alone, the film is releasing in close to 600 screens which are huge for me. I am very curious to see how everyone responds to my sincere attempt.
