Tollywood circles have been abuzz with a possible collaboration between hero Ram and popular Kollywood director Lingusamy for the last couple days. The suspense has ended finally, as the ongoing buzz has been made official this morning. The film marks Ram’s 19th project.

Ram and Lingusamy will be joining hands with each other for the first time for a high budget Telugu-Tamil bilingual. The project will be bankrolled by Srinivasa Chitturi under his Srinivasa Silver Screens banner. More details about the film’s cast and crew will be out in the coming days.

Lingusamy is well known to Telugu movie lovers for his super hit movies such as Run, Pandem Kodi, Awaara and Pandem Kodi 2. His much-talked-about bilingual with star hero Allu Arjun was announced a couple of years ago, but there has been no update on it ever since.

Star heroine Kajal Aggarwal is turning presenter with the upcoming love story set in Warangal, Manu Charitra. The film has young actors Shiva Kandukuri, Megha Akash and Priya Vadlamani in lead roles. The film’s first look poster has been unveiled this morning on the occasion of Shiva Kandukuri’s birthday.

The first look showcases Shiva in a rugged avatar, with a thick long beard. The tagline – ‘Falling in love is a painful joy’, gives a hint of what the film’s story could be about. Manu Charitra is being directed by debutant Bharath Pedagani and produced jointly by N Sreenivasa Reddy and P Ronnson Joseph under Apple Tree Entertainments banner.Gopi Sunder is composing the music.

Young Tollywood hero Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas is all set to make his Bollywood debut with the official remake of Rajamouli and Prabhas’ 2005 blockbuster action drama, Chatrapathi. VV Vinayak will be directing this crazy remake.

Ever since the project was announced, Chatrapathi remake’s team has been finding it hard to rope in an A-list Bollywood actress to play the leading lady opposite Sai. Young heroines Kiara Advani and Shraddha Kapoor were said to have been approached by the makers, but they reportedly didn’t evince interest in being part of the film.

Now, the latest buzz is that the makers have approached star Tollywood director Puri Jagannadh to convince young Bollywood beauty Ananya Panday to sign Chatrapathi’s Hindi remake. Puri, who is currently directing Ananya in Liger, is said to have begun talking to Ananya in this regard. Stay tuned for further updates.
