Jathi Ratnalu is a film that has been awaited for a long time. The film is produced by director Nag Ashwin and this makes things even special. The makers released the teaser of the film today.

The teaser showcases Priyadarshi, Naveen Polishetty, and Rahul Ramakrishna as thieves who are jailed. Though the story is about a big crime, the tongue in cheek humor showcased by the three actors is just so good and elevates the proceedings.

The way, dialogues are written in a witty manner manages to right away take you into the premise of this madcap film. The situational comedy and the characterization of the lead cast in the teaser are very good and give you an idea as to what kind of a film this is going to be.

The massive announcement on star actor-director duo Ram Charan and Shankar’s pan-India biggie has been made this evening. Top Tollywood producer Dil Raju will be bankrolling the film, which marks his landmark 50th production venture.

And Ram Charan says he’s ‘excited’ to be part of Shankar sir’s cinematic brilliance under Dil Raju and Sirish’s production. Even Shankar took to Twitter and said that he’s excited to announce his next venture with Ram Charan and Dil Raju.

Even though the makers are tight-lipped about divulging more details, the buzz has it that Shankar has penned a mega historical period drama. The film will be releasing in Telugu, Tamil Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.

Debutants Vaishnav Tej and Krithi Shetty’s intense romantic drama, Uppena, released this morning and received a largely positive response from all quarters. Star director Sukumar’s protege Buchi Babu Sana has turned director with this movie.

And Sukumar is a proud guru. Speaking at the film’s success function this afternoon, Sukumar said that he is feeling great to see his protege making such a wonderful film. He further said that Buchi’s direction didn’t seem like a debutant’s and that he handled the movie like an experienced director.

“This is a Tsunami-like victory. I usually call him “Yera Buchi” out of love, but after watching Uppena, I thought twice and called him Buchi. The respect for Buchi has increased by leaps and bounds. I’m confidently saying that Uppena will be a 100 crore film,” Sukumar said.
