When Akshay Kumar’s new look from his upcoming film, Bachchan Pandey, was unveiled, it immediately went viral. Many hailed his new mass avatar in the pic, where he’s clad in a black lungi and has a nunchaku in hand. Now, it has been confirmed that the film is, in fact, the Hindi remake of Veeram, which was also remade in Telugu as Katamarayudu. Farhad Samji is going to direct the film.
Earlier, there were rumours that Akshay Kumar couldn’t come onboard due to his prior commitments, and Vicky Kaushal had to opt out of project for the same reason. But now producer Sajid Nadiadwala seems to have convinced Akshay Kumar to play the lead role in this mass entertainer, which will also star four other young actors who’ll be seen as Akshay’s brothers. Buzz is that Kriti Sanon is in talks to play Akshay’s romantic interest.
Meanwhile, all eyes are on Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film, Mission Mangal which is slated for release on August 15. The film also stars Vidya Balan, Taapsee, Nithya Menen, Sonakshi Sinha among others.
