After gaining attention as Rehman Dakait in Dhurandhar, Akshaye Khanna is set to enter Telugu cinema with Mahakali, where he plays Shukracharya. The role marks a clear shift in his on screen choices, placing him in a mythological superhero setup within the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU).
There is also ongoing buzz around another film in the same universe, Adhira. Directed by Sharan Koppisetty and produced by RKD Studios, the film features Kalyan Dasari in the lead and is currently in production.
