Mollywood star Prithviraj Sukumaran’s latest release Khalifa is finally coming to OTT, but there is a big surprise. The crime action thriller is set to stream on not one, two, but six OTT platforms.
Directed by Vysakh, known for films like Pulimurugan and Pokkiri Raja, Khalifa opened to a lukewarm response in theatres and failed to make a strong impact at the box office.
Now, the film is set for its OTT premiere on October 9 across six platforms. It will stream on Amazon Prime Video, Aha, ManoramaMAX, Lionsgate Play, STARZPLAY (overseas), and Simply South (overseas).
This six-platform release is expected to give the film a much wider reach across different regions and audiences.
Khalifa is one of the big-budget Malayalam films and features an ensemble cast including Malavika Sharma, Shammi Thilakan, Indrans, Suresh Oberoi, Renji Panicker, and Mohini. The film also has cameo appearances by Mohanlal and Tovino Thomas.
Jakes Bejoy composed the music, while Jinu V. Abraham is the writer and producer. The film is backed by Jiinu Abraham Innovations.
