Ikkis, the final film of legendary Bollywood star Dharmendra, was released as a New Year special and directed by Sriram Raghavan.
Until recently, the film was available on Amazon Prime Video only on a rental basis, which limited its reach. Now, in good news for subscribers, the platform has removed the rental option, making the movie available for all Prime members at no extra cost.
Produced by Maddock Films, Ikkis is a biographical war drama based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. The story revolves around the Battle of Basantar during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
Despite being promoted as Dharmendra’s final outing on the big screen, the film did not perform well at the box office. Apart from Dharmendra, the movie also features Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat, Jitendra Singh, Shree Bishnoi, and Simar Bhatia in key roles.
