Megastar Chiranjeevi is prepping for a massive transformation for his upcoming movie, Mega 158, directed by Bobby Kolli. The highly anticipated project is officially locked to be launched on May 21, 2026. Ahead of the grand launch, the makers have surprised fans with a significant change in the technical crew.
Initially, Kurup and Lokah fame Nimish Ravi was announced as the cinematographer and was even present for the recent look test. However, the production house has now officially onboarded Vijay Kartik Kannan as the new Director of Photography. Vijay previously won widespread acclaim for his stellar camerawork in Bobby’s Daaku Maharaaj and Rajinikanth’s Jailer.
His addition to the crew has generated immense excitement and significantly raised expectations for the project. However, the makers have not yet provided any clarity on why this sudden technical change was made.
Backed by KVN Productions, the film will feature a musical score composed by Thaman. The regular shooting is scheduled to kick off soon, and more exciting details will be revealed during the official launch.
