Last Friday, multiple films tested their luck at the Tollywood box office, but unfortunately, none were able to leave an impact. The most prominent among them is Euphoria, directed by Gunasekhar. The filmmaker earned a massive following in the initial phase of his career, but his recent choices have affected his reputation.
Even though Euphoria received better reports than Gunasekhar’s previous film, Shaakuntalam, it still struggled at the ticket windows and failed to post even respectable numbers. The other notable releases include With Love and Sri Chidambaram Garu. With Love, headlined by Abishan Jeevinth and Anaswara Rajan, received good reviews but did not succeed in grabbing the audience’s attention.
The small-budget film Sri Chidambaram Garu was promoted well by the makers, but ultimately, it couldn’t make any noise at the box office. Only the Sankranthi release Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu, starring Megastar Chiranjeevi, saw a decent turnout.
