Hema, who is known for her character roles in popular films like Athadu, Julayi etc, is going to contest as an MLA candidate from Mandapeta.
She will be contesting on Kiran Kumar Reddy’s Jai Samaikyandhra Party ticket from Mandapeta. Hema will be filing her nomination soon and she is confident of putting up a good fight. Hema is one of the first celebrities to endorse Kiran Kumar Reddy’s party.
With a number of film industry people in the fray for the upcoming elections, it sure will be interesting to see whether screen popularity translates into votes or not.
