Rashmika Mandanna, now known as Rashmika Deverakonda, has launched Project Annapurna, a charitable initiative to support families in need of food. Through this program, the Ranabaali actress is supporting 400 families with essential food supplies.
The kits include 75 kg of rice, 10 kg of whole wheat atta, 15 kg of mixed pulses, 10 litres of cooking oil, along with items like ragi, spices and tea. The initiative covers eight locations across South India: Hyderabad, Mahabubnagar, Anantapur, Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai, Kodagu and Vijayawada.
Sharing why she took up this initiative, Rashmika said, “A lot of you keep asking are there any similarities between Jayamma (her role in Ranabaali) and me and my answer is yes – and this is one of them.. this has always been me and this is also her.. and I would always keep doing things like this for all the love that you give me.”
Rashmika’s initiative has been appreciated by fans. Meanwhile, her film Ranabaali, starring her husband Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role, is releasing tomorrow.
