Gumraah, starring Aditya Roy Kapoor in the lead role, is the official remake of the Tamil hit Thadam. Ram Pothineni remade this film in Telugu as Red. As the remakes were not working in Bollywood, especially after the pandemic, there was a low buzz on Gumraah right from the start.
The movie which hit the screens yesterday made a nett of 1.1 crores on its day one, which is very low. The movie needs to do miracles from hereon to cover the lost ground. Sita Ramam beauty Mrunal Thakur played a key role in this murder mystery thriller.
The Hindi remake is directed by Vardhan Ketkar. Bhushan Kumar, Murad Ketani, Krishan Kumar, and Anjum Metani produced the movie under T-Series Films and Cine 1 Studios banners. Ronit Roy essayed another key role.
