I Didn’t Expect That Nani Would Do This : SS Rajamouli

Ever since maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli and Nani worked together for Eega, the duo have shared great rapport with each other and they consider each other as their own family members. No wonder, Rajamouli has always been an active supporter of Nani’s films in recent years.

Incidentally, Rajamouli was one of the chief guests at the pre-release event of Awe!, a film which was produced by Nani and Prashanthi. At the event, SS Rajamouli said, “I think even Nani has forgotten how many of his recent films have turned out to be hits. I remember messaging him once that, beyond all these hits, I expect him to do something more. But, I never thought he would appear as a fish in this film (Awe!). That was a big surprise for me. I sincerely hope that he continues to reinvent himself and do more interesting films in future.”

Thanking Rajamouli for all this support, Nani confessed that he has always looked up to the ace filmmaker whenever he’s tensed about his career. Directed by Prashanth Varma, Awe! stars Kajal, Nithya Menen, Regina, Eesha Rebba, Srinivas Avasarala, Priyadarshi, Murali Sharma and few others in lead roles. The film will hit the screens on February 16.
