Tamannaah, who’ll be seen in a crucial role in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, made an interesting observation about her career post Baahubali. The actress, in a promotional interview, stated that she was offered quite a few period films after Baahubali released; however, she was too scared to take up any of them.
“I was really scared to take up anything period, because of just the kind of reach that Baaubali had. Avantika became such a memorable character, I didn’t know what else I would be able to do in a period film to kind of satisfy the audiences, who have loved Baahubali as a film,” Tamannaah said. But when it came to Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, she didn’t have to think twice about doing it because its set up and story is very different compared to Baahubali.
“I hope that the role I’ve played in Sye Raa becomes another milestone in my career,” she added. Directed by Surender Reddy, the actress will be seen as a dancer in this film who turns freedom fighter. Chiranjeevi, Amitabh Bachchan, and Nayanthara played lead roles in the period drama.
