India’s greatest Carnatic classical singer and Bharat Ratna awardee MS Subbalakshmi’s biopic is in the works in Tollywood. Though it has not been officially announced, work related to the project is quietly progressing, according to ongoing buzz.
Sai Pallavi has reportedly been roped in to play the iconic role. As per the latest buzz, costume design and production design work are currently underway.
Jersey director Gowtam Tinnanuri is said to be mounting this film on a massive scale. Anirudh is likely to reunite with Gowtam for this project. An official announcement is expected to take more time.
On the other hand, Sai Pallavi is also working on the historical epic Ramayana, which is scheduled for release during Diwali 2026.
