Detective Ujjwalan is a Malayalam mystery thriller starring Dhyan Sreenivasan, Siju Wilson, and Rony David Raj in the lead roles. Indraneel Gopeekrishnan and Rahul G jointly directed this film. Upon its release, the movie received mixed reviews from critics and didn’t leave much of an impact at the box office.
After its theatrical run, the Malayalam version debuted on Netflix in July. The latest update reveals that the Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada versions are currently up for streaming on Lionsgate Play. We need to see if the dubbed versions could gain any traction.
The film is about a place called Plaachikkaavu, where life is peaceful, and the local police have little to do until a shocking murder changes things all of a sudden. Sophia Paul produced it under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters. Kottayam Nazeer and Seema Nair played supporting roles.
