Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara, is set for a grand release on January 10, 2026. The film is about the anti-Hindi movement in Tamil Nadu. Ravi Mohan is the antagonist, while Sreeleela plays the female lead.

In an interview with producer Aakash Baskaran spoke about the risky nature of the script. He said, “We had problems with the censor. So we went to the Revising Committee. From the beginning of the film, many were against the film and advised us not to touch this subject. But we wanted to tell this subject and make it reach a wide range of audiences. No one has addressed this movement before, which happened post-independence. We are exploring it for the first time.”

The movie is clashing with Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan for Pongal. Parasakthi also stars Rana Daggubati, Atharvaa, Basil Joseph, and others in key roles. G.V. Prakash Kumar is composing the tunes.
