Kartik Aaryan and Kabir Khan’s Chandu Champion is one of the well-made sports dramas in Bollywood, but the film failed to make an impact at the box office. Post the pandemic, fatigue has set in for the sports genre in Hindi cinema, and that’s the major reason Chandu Champion couldn’t reach expectations.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the actor-director duo is set to reunite once again for a sports film set against the backdrop of Kashmir. Unlike Chandu Champion, the new project is said to feature an adventure angle along with sports elements.
The untitled film is expected to go on floors in February 2026. Meanwhile, Kartik’s upcoming projects, Nagzilla and a film with Anurag Basu, are in different stages of production. The actor is currently going through a rough patch with back-to-back flops, and it remains to be seen if he can bounce back in 2026.
