Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi’s Ramayana has been creating a lot of buzz since its second trailer was released. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the big-budget film is set for a world premiere in Los Angeles on October 27, 2026.
The special 3D screening will take place at the David Geffen Theater at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. More than 945 guests are expected to attend, including Hollywood celebrities, global media and other industry personalities.
Another interesting detail is that guests have been invited to wear traditional Indian outfits for the red carpet. Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios, DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations are backing the film. Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman are composing the music.
The film will be released in two parts, with the first part hitting theatres on November 5, 2026, and the second part planned for Diwali 2027. It will release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, in both standard and IMAX formats. Sony Pictures is handling the overseas distribution.
