Of late, it has been announced by the makers of Ponnyin Selvan that the second part of the film arrives in theatres on April 28, 2023. The first part was a stupendous success grossing over 500 crores at the ticket windows. But the film’s Telugu version didn’t get the desired result.
The Telugu version recently had its television premiere on Gemini TV. The latest update is that the film registered a TRP of 2.73, which is pretty low for a movie of a huge scale. The movie is directed by the legendary Mani Ratnam.
Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Trishna Krishnan, and Jayam Ravi played crucial roles in this period’s action drama. Bankrolled by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, Academy-winning composer AR Rahman composed the tunes.
