Mahesh Babu’s Varanasi, directed by SS Rajamouli, is set for a global release on April 7, 2027. Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the antagonist in this globetrotting action adventure, which is reportedly being made on a budget of around Rs. 1,200 crore.
As Prithviraj celebrates his birthday today, his co-star Mahesh Babu extended his wishes, writing, “Happy Birthday Kumbha …. have a wonderful one… lots of love n happiness always…”
The Varanasi team also dropped a couple of stills from the sets, showing Prithviraj and Rajamouli in discussion. The team followed a similar approach for Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s birthdays, sharing pictures from the sets on their special days.
The big-budget film has music by Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravaani. The makers are yet to announce details about some of the other people involved in the project.
Produced under the Sri Durga Arts and Showing Business banners, the film aims to take Indian cinema to the global stage on a scale bigger than the Baahubali films and RRR.
Wishing you a very Happy Birthday Kumbha …. 🤗🤗🤗 have a wonderful one… lots of love n happiness always… !!! ♥️♥️♥️ @PrithviOfficial
