Tamil star Vijay’s ongoing 69th film, Jana Nayagan, marks his last movie before his debut in active politics. Also starring Pooja Hegde in a lead role, the film is being directed by H Vinoth, and it is rumored to be an official remake of Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari.
As per the latest updates in Kollywood circles, Jana Nayagan makers are all set to drop a much-awaited announcement this evening. While the makers haven’t given any hint about the nature of the announcement, the buzz has it that the film’s release date will be announced today through a special poster. While the film was initially scheduled for release in October, 2025, the latest buzz reveals that Jana Nayagan will be hitting theaters worldwide during the Pongal festive season in January, 2026.
Jana Nayagan also features Bobby Deol and Mamitha Baiju in lead roles. The film is being produced by K Venkat Narayana under his KVN Productions banner. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music. Stay tuned for the announcement.
