Naga Chaitanya is currently riding high with the success of his latest offering Dohchay. On the occasion of the film’s success, we caught up with him for a brief interview. Let’s see what he has to say.
Q) What kind of feedback did you get for Dochey?
A) The response has been amazing and I thank the audience for making our film a huge success. Day by day, this film is getting good response and family audience are also getting connected to the film.
Q) Describe your feelings on receiving the mixed response on the first day?
A) I expected the mixed reviews from the first day as I have tried a different subject for the first time in my career. But things slowly changed and the audience have accepted the film big time. The collections have been superb, and I am totally relieved with the success of the film.
Q) Why did you choose Sudheer Varma as the director ?
A) After watching Swami Ra Ra, I wanted to work with Sudheer Varma as I liked his style of film making. He then came up with Dochey subject which was quite impressive and attracted me to be a part of this flick.
Q) What was the best compliment that you received for this film?
A) I am getting a lot of positive feedback for my performance, and all those who have seen the film are appreciating my role.
Q) Do you like to do experimental roles in future?
A) Yes, I am ready to do experimental subjects in my career. I think we have to take risk to get recognition in the audience. With this flick the audience can feel confident that Chai can do any kind of roles rather than just romantic movies.
Q) Tell us about Kriti Sanon?
A) She had a very complex role in this film and she did a wonderful job. The way she showcased her emotions was quite brilliant.
Q) What was your father’s reaction after watching the film ?
A) Dad appreciated my acting and he liked the last half an hour big time.
Q) What are your future projects?
A)Currently, I am in talks with Karthikeya fame director Chandoo Mondeti. I will announce the complete details once the script is finalized. I am also in talks with Gautham Menon.
