Released on January 9 amid an unprecedented hype, Tamil star Vijay’s Master has had a record breaking 2-week run at the worldwide box-office. The film’s massive collections, despite the 50 percent occupancy rule, is leaving trade circles in awe.

In a massive feat, Master’s worldwide total gross has surpassed the Rs. 200 crore milestone. The film has reportedly grossed Rs 211 crore across the world, with a solid Rs 110 crore being reported in Tamil Nadu itself. Master marks Thalapathy Vijay’s fourth movie to enter the Rs 200 crore club. With not much competition around, the film will continue to post decent daily gross in the Tamizh land.

Acclaimed Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi played a menacing antagonist’s role in this Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial. Andrea Jeremiah and Malavika Mohanan are the leading ladies in the movie.

After scoring a memorable hit with Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya, young hero Naveen Polishetty is coming up with an out-and-out comedy entertainer, titled Jathi Ratnalu. Popular young comedians Priyadarshi and Rahul Ramakrishna will also be seen in lead roles.

Jathi Ratnalu’s team today announced that the film will be hitting screens on March 11 on the eve of the auspicious Maha Shivaratri. Mahanati director Nag Ashwin is producing the film, which has been directed by KV Anudeep. Debutant Faria Abdullah is the leading lady in the movie. Radhan has composed the music.

The makers of Jagapathi Babu’s upcoming romantic family entertainer, Father Chitti Umaa Karthik (FCUK), are all set to give a unique tribute to the frontline workers who risked their lives and selflessly worked towards preventing the deadly Novel Coronavirus pandemic. The film’s songs will be launched by some of these real-life heroes in the coming days.

FCUK’s songs will be released by a select few heroes from the medical fraternity, police, municipal workers and the media. The first song will be released by noted doctor Sri. Gurva Reddy. The film’s director Vidyasagar Raju and producer KL Damodar Prasad have taken this initiative as a small token of gratitude for the brave-hearts who were the frontline warriors against COVID-19.

FCUK also features going actors Ram Karthik, Ammu Abhirami and baby Sahashritha in lead roles. Sri Ranjith Movies banner has bankrolled the film.
