Sharwanand’s PAN-India film Bhogi, directed by Sampath Nandi, was supposed to release in theatres on August 28, but the film has now been indefinitely postponed.
On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the team dropped a special poster, which looks heartwarming. The protagonist is surrounded by his sisters, eating coconuts and spending some lovely time with them. What better occasion than Raksha Bandhan would there be to release the poster?
The makers are taking additional time for VFX work to elevate the film’s world and visual scale, and this is the reason for the delay. The new release date will be announced later. Bhogi is set in the early 1960s and unfolds in a fictional village on the Telangana–Maharashtra border.
Produced by KK Radhamohan under the banner of Sri Sathya Sai Arts and presented by Lakshmi Radhamohan, the project is being mounted on a grand canvas. Anupama Parameswaran and Dimple Hayati play the female leads.
