Indian cricketer Varun Chakravarthy played a key role in India’s memorable victory in the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai. Varun’s magical spin bowling made him the second highest wicket taker in the tourney.
Not many are aware of the fact that before making his presence felt in Indian cricket, Varun had acted in the 2014 Tamil movie ‘Jeeva’. Varun played a cameo in Jeeva, an acclaimed sports drama starring Vishnu Vishal and Sri Divya and produced by hero Arya. Following Team India’s thumping win in the Champions Trophy finals, pictures of Varun’s cameo in Jeeva have been making a huge splash on social media. Interestingly, Varun had also appeared in the popular Tamil show Cooku With Comali.
33-year-old Varun Chakravarthy studied architecture at SRM University in Chennai. He made his T20I debut in July 2021 and went on to play for Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
