Rocking Star Yash’s Toxic hit cinemas amid huge expectations but failed to make the expected impact despite its massive opening. The film grossed around Rs. 150 crore worldwide on day 1, driven by the immense anticipation surrounding its release.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film sold more than 901K tickets on BookMyShow on day 1, but the sales dropped to around 371.8K on the following day, marking a decline of nearly 59%. The mixed-to-negative response from critics and audiences appears to have affected the film’s momentum, making the weekend crucial for Toxic.
Featuring Rukmini Vasanth, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi, the film is backed by Venkata K. Narayana and Yash. Ravi Basrur, along with other composers, has contributed to the film’s music.
With the weekend ahead, all eyes are now on Toxic to see whether it can regain momentum and add significantly to its worldwide gross.
