Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, India’s top production house, is known for its lavish production values and glitzy films which are aimed at the urban youth. Their films over the years, including Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, Student Of The Year, Kalank, Kapoor & Sons, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, have set thBhoote bar high in terms of production design and cinematography.
Now, for the first time since their inception, Dharma Productions is going to bankroll a horror film. Titled as Bhoot : Part One – The Haunted Ship, the film has Vicky Kaushal playing the lead role, and Bhanu Pratap Singh is going to direct it. The film is slated for release on November 15 this year, and Dharma is reportedly planning to produce a series of films in this franchise.
Interestingly, RGV had made a horror film, Bhoot several years ago and it went to become a huge hit. When he saw the first look of Vicky Kaushal’s film, RGV gave his thumbs up and wished the team, much to Karan Johar’s delight.
