Here’s star Hindi film actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan touching the feet of her Ponniyin Selvan director Mani Ratnam. This precious moment was captured during the Ponniyin Selvan 2 team’s ‘Chola Tour’ promotional event in Mumbai this evening.
Soon after she was crowned Miss World, Mani Ratnam had signed her to play a lead role in his 1997 classic, Iruvar (Iddaru in Telugu). Aish went on to collaborate with the legendary filmmaker in movies such as Guru, Raavan and Ponniyin Selvan 1 and 2. Aish always considered Mani Ratnam as her ‘Guru’ and shares a special bond with him.
In Ponniyin Selvan 2, Aish plays Nandhini, the Princess of Pazhuvoor. Her character has immense prominence in the upcoming sequel. PS2 is gearing up for a grand worldwide release on April 28.
