Yash’s Toxic opened on a sensational note at the box office, but after that, it has been a tough phase for the gangster action drama. The film was panned heavily by critics, and it also received poor word-of-mouth.
Toxic’s Hindi version opened with over Rs. 55 crores nett, but after that, it has been in freefall mode. The dubbed version collected Rs. 25 crores nett on day 2, and the number came down to Rs. 20 crores nett on Friday despite it being a Raksha Bandhan holiday.
On Saturday, the film witnessed yet another significant drop, earning just around Rs. 15 crores nett. This kind of trajectory only happens in the Hindi belt when there is a huge mismatch between the output and expectations. The Hindi version, which is the best contributor for Toxic, will wrap up its business by Sunday.
