The devastating floods that wreaked havoc on Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu last year not only killed more than 250 people, caused a lot of destruction and brought the lives of millions of people to a standstill, but they also brought the entire nation together and people from all over the world chipped in with their support to rehab and rebuild Chennai.

National award winning actor Chiyaan Vikram encapsulated this human spirit in the form of a music video, which was conceptualised and directed by Vikram himself. This 11-minute extended music video showcases the spirit of common people in the times of adversaries and how they kept humanity alive together during the floods.

Composed by C Girinandh and sung by over 20 singers, the Spirit of Chennai music video features stars like Vikram, Suriya, Karthi, Bobby Simha, Arya, Siddharth, Prithviraj, Nivin Pauly, Nayanthara, Nitya Menen, Amala Paul and Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan etc.
