Indraganti Mohanakrishna’s romantic drama, Sammohanam, is gearing up for release soon in this summer. Sammohanam’s recently released teaser had given a few glimpses of the love story between an actress and a young man.
Ever since the teaser’s release, there were reports in a section of media that Sammohanam is a ‘freemake’ of the yesteryear Hollywood hit, Notting Hill. But Indraganti has refuted these reports strongly.
Indraganti took to Twitter and said that the idea of a common person falling in love with a film star was not invented by Notting Hill. He went on to reveal that Notting Hill is an aesthetic influence along with many other films and that he will surely acknowledge it in the credits. “You will see how original Sammohanam is when it comes out. As a filmmaker who has never failed to credit inspirations and sources, I find the assumption insulting and arrogant,” said Indraganti.
