The Telangana Village Revenue Officers and the Judicial Employees JACs on Monday withdraw from the Sakala Janula Samme, the general strike demanding statehood for the Telangana region which entered 42nd day on Monday.
The Telangana VROs JAC had a detailed discussion with Revenue Minister N Raghuveera Reddy at the State Secretariat and has decided to withdraw the strike following an assurance from the government that all their demands would be considered. JAC chairman Ram Reddy said that the VROs would join the duties from Tuesday onwards.
Meanwhile, the judicial employees too have ended their strike after the government accepted their demands which included treating the strike period as paid leave. The Judicial Employees JAC leaders had discussion with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at latter’s camp office and formalised the end of strike. The JAC said that all the employees would join the duties with immediate effect. (INN)
