Superstar Krishna is one of the living legends of Telugu film industry and has acted in close to 330 films in his long career. He has played various characters throughout his career and one character which got him special recognition was the one he played in his movie ‘Encounter’.
Krishna played the role of Naxalite leader in the movie and the movie was very well appreciated by critics as well as the audience. N Shankar has directed this flick and he was prominently called as ‘Encounter Shankar’ after this movie. Recalling few experiences during the shoot, he said “The shoot of the movie took place in forest areas of Vikarabad, Talakona and Thettu. During the shoot of one of the scenes, Krishna was supposed to carry an ‘AK 47’ rifle and all of a sudden few naxalites came and showed him the way to carry it and left in a flash. Later that scene came out very well”.
Roja and Ramesh Babu played other prominent roles in the movie and was produced by Krishna himself on his home banner ‘Padmalaya studios’. Vandemataram Sreenivas has composed the music of the film.
